Our client is an established healthcare organization in Jupiter, FL that prioritizes patient care and satisfaction. We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing & Collections Specialist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, processing insurance claims, and managing patient accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and collections, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility for services
• Review and process insurance claims accurately and efficiently
• Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and denied claims
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient accounts receivable records
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth billing and collections processes
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries and concerns

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections
• Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health records systems
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing processes and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, CPT) preferred
• Certification in medical billing and coding (e.g., CPC, CPB) a major plus
