. ..gone?!?!?!? I ask this because all voices of the average community seem to have gone over to the other(RACE's) side. example, Keith Olbermenn actually let us know that he was aware of the informations been sent to him from the African-American social networks. He often talks about what Color Of Change and after he used my motto of "Only In America, I grew even more depress as I asked myself once again, "Why is White America still the voice of our community"? Even worst, as we seem to still be in the lets put every thing on the shoulders of our Black president, former president Jimmy Carter and Nancy Pelosi seem to be the voices in the main stream media defending against the abuses of anti-JIM CROW voices coming over our public air waves 24/7!!!!!,;but even they are being attacked while Rush Limbaugh has taken up the lead of Joe Wilson. And , Limbaugh is being more open and frankand honest over his efforts to return America back into the hands of Seprate is equal along with Jim CROW laws being enacted in America!!!!He is using his radio program to actually call for a return to segragation so the White children can not continue to be abused physically by those naturally violent Black children in Obama's America. Oh, and lets not forget the TEA PARTY (all White) calling for taking back their country as Limbaugh says back the days when Plessye vs. Fergason ruled. Or, better know as Jim Crow pre the Civil rights movement to enforce the law that had rmade Jim Crow illegal separate but equal was this law passed back in the days of America when the organization that Rep. Joe Wilson is a member of ,RULED!!!! That school bus fight not only reminded me of Sister Rosa Parks. And it must have reminded a lot of White people of the same thing. There has been so little news reports and Black networking reports on this. I did notice that instant cover-up of they having promised to arrest these black teens.(smile as I cry at the same time) I still have no idea if the Black teens have been arrested or they are just doing a cover-up to not allow the relationship to this and the Civil Right's era begining over a BUS SEAT and the resulting arrest of sister Parks???HOW DARE WE ALLOW THIS while I recieve messages for White forces in the media how they are fighting against this.... Joe Wilson is raking in $millions over that UNPLANED OUT BURST as a member of Sons Of Confederate Soldiers?!? And, those over at Fox announcing they would be putting up websites in their names fro supporters of Joe Wilson. I wonder how many laws this has broken?!?Not one word in the news (except from Media about) FOX having just this morning calling some Hispanic males BOYS!!!!?!!! So my friends and fellow site bloggers, I am fine, it is just that I get get too depressed when I come on this site and see so little interest in this movement to return to White ONly, Black Only...an instant investigation calling for contracts of ACORN be revoked...while Haliburton is over looked for not being able to account for $4 billion. Well maybe they used it to pay Black Water who were hired (and already been said in our courts)by Rumsfeld and the CIA to kill innocent Iraqis as they did!!!!Not one contract has been revolked or even mentioned any place but regularly on MSNBC!!!!! HELLO EVERYONE...GOOD BY EVERYONE...

I had intended this as a subject for a blog: Race Baiting
But I think there are too many competing blogs, about just a few central ideas really. And I hate to see you depressed, Sister Irma, but you are not alone.
My contention is this, it is the media that is resurrecting Jim Crow, and they do this by race baiting.
Now you and I both know that segregation is of the past, and we are an integrated society now. And the only way we can go backwards is in our minds. This is the intent of race baiting.
I've been thinking about this because there is so much talk about racism. But the reality is that I do not see it in my personal life. I am not saying it does not exist, an example being the disproportionate number of black men in prison (not to mention the killings). But who the hell is Joe Wilson to divide us?
Race baiting, as opposed to racism, is the real issue in the media circus. Race baiting presupposes that some one will rise to the bait. But if we don't rise to the bait, we'll not be caught will we?
In the real world of most of us, including here on this site, we treat each other with respect. And it is not a false respect, but actually felt and believed. We need to fight poverty and lack of education, yes. We need to do this as individuals and not be put, or put ourselves in groups, but to deal with one another as individuals. In my personal life it is the individual I deal with and it is all good.
So let's not rise to the bait.

I agree that more black Americans need to be in the forefront, but I'm not one to downplay the importance of white Americans speaking out against racist and discriminatory practices. I applaud President Jimmy Carter for speaking his mind. I am also appreciative of Keith Olberman, the work he is doing to give us black Americans a voice on his show.
White Americans like Carter and Olberman are what I consider the new abolitionists. But rather than combating slavery, they are combating the misinformation that continues to drive a wedge between racial/ethnic groups. They are also trying to win over hearts and minds. Olberman has had a number of different black Americans on his show as special guests, and they tell it like it is. It is now time for us black Americans on the grassroots level to use this information to write the next chapter in the Civil Rights Movement.
If you ask me (and I know you didn't), I think we need to transition to a Collective Prosperity Movement. The fact that white Americans voted overwhelmingly for the black man is an indication that they are now willing to work with us black Americans on a prosperity agenda. Truth be told, race is becoming less significant (and it should) while class issues are becoming more prevalent. Thus, we have to end this trend of allowing the rich to get richer, the poor poorer. We also have to identify and integrate those Hubs of Influence that are still controlled by White America's Good Ol' Boy Networks.

Irma, I realize you have experienced a different reality than I have. Irma, the majority of things media you have spoken of I have no knowledge of. I quit watching the TV back when GB Sr. made war on Iraq the first time. I was at the peace march in SF and hardly a word was spoken of it, and when it was, it was a small sideline story with just a few protesters, maybe a thousand, But I was there and it was at least 10,000, if not 20,000. That was when I turned off my TV, and never looked back. The media cannot be trusted, only our day to day personal interactions, and unfortunately those are corrupted by the BULL**** being played. It would be a much different world if we all COLLECTIVELY turned off our sets and dealt withe the REAL world that could be if not for the manipulation.

Irma, Harry has homed in on something though with the statement that the group is more important than the individual. I believe the opposite, that the individual is more important than the group. With the caveat that often what is good for the group is what is good for the individual. This country was founded on both ideals, the rights of the individual and the common good.
Harry believes also in racial purity, which has something to be said for it and I will not argue with anyone on that point. However, it is not my personal point of view. So here is the individual choice, we each may choose who we we wish to couple with, and we may end up with more or less pure races depending on all of these individual choices.
On another post you and Mozell corrected me to see people as individuals not as a group. But so much of the talk on this site is about the opposite, we are White or we are Black. The Whites put the Blacks in a group and then are racists. But the Blacks put themselves in a group and then are counter-racists.
So what I'm saying is this grouping is not productive. There are those in poverty, how can we help them. Those who lack health care, how can we help. Those who lack education, how can we help. Can we deal with these issues without grouping ourselves/others as Black or White?

On the subject of peace, I believe it is simple in concept, but difficult in practice. At the root of conflict is usually either economics or ideology. The one needs to be addressed by activism, the other by dialog. We can only as individuals engage in both. Depending on the level of individual engagement we may or may not achieve peace. History will tell.
In our engagement we should also look beyond our own borders. I have had further conversation with my friend in Togo. He is a student at the University of Lome. Here is his financial situation (I have converted from CFA francs to dollars). He receives $45 per term to go to school. This is what he lives off, I am waiting for his response to how many months per term. He pays $15.70 per month for rent, and $.68 per hour for internet access. On top of this of course are other normal living expenses. So if we think we have problems here...

It is my hope that this momentum improves the psyche of Black people to the point where they begin to look at how the assets they possess and that exist in Black communities can be galvanized to produce desirable outcomes. We spend so much time looking at our deficits. Our analysis of almost every situation gravitates to some negative. As I stated in another post at some point we have to begin to visualize ourselves as a people someplace other than the people on the bottom.
Black children are extremely brilliant. Yet, we send them to schools that do not appreciate their brilliance and is not prepared to do anything more but give them the dumbed down version of an education. The children who are excelling at these schools are teaching themselves outside of school. Their parents and mentors are not prepared to help them become the person of their dreams. We limit our encouragement to dreams we can afford like a basketball, city college tuition or a computer. C'mon you could take a vacation to where NASA, there are other things that are free like taking them into a court room to see what lawyers do or taking them to a hospital to see what doctors do. We could raise a generation of architects, engineers, doctors, scientists, etc. if we widen our scope and improve our collective self esteem. Say it loud, I'm Black and I'm Proud.

Also, I think Black people in America have gotten soft and forgot how to FIGHT for political and economic rights. I think the criminality and immorality in the Black community is as a direct result of the men (and women) not standing up and demanding more decent paying jobs and affordable insitutions of higher learning.
The reason so many Blacks are in the Middle class today is as a result of the fighting and struggling the poor Black people did in the 60s and 70s. They demanded that the government produce for them and give back. Another thing is, as long as Latinos and Asians continue to flood into the United States Black children aren't gonna stand a chance. This nation aint' big enough for EVERYBODY to come in and get a piece of the pie. We're gonna have to start uniting and looking out for our own best interests as a people.

We need to strategize then. To begin, what are our objectives. Second, what is the priority of our objectives? Third, how to achieve those objectives.
I do not believe that health care is the first objective, in spite of it being our President's As to how to achieve objectives, a web site where it is made easier for people to contact their representatives is something that works. For instance, here is a letter I received back from Senator Casey about the bill to audit the Fed. Of course, this is a form letter, just as the one I sent him from auditthefed.com. But it did get his attention, coming from so many:

Thank you for taking the time to contact me with your thoughts regarding the Federal Reserve System, commonly known as the Federal Reserve. I appreciate hearing from all Pennsylvanians about the issues that matter most to them.
The recent financial crisis has led to a high level of involvement on the part of the Federal Reserve in our economy. Since late 2007, the Federal Reserve, along with central banks around the globe, has lowered interest rates and pushed an unprecedented amount of money into the financial markets. In doing so, the Federal Reserve has attempted to stimulate lending activity by banks and other financial institutions in an effort to grow the economy.
Apart from the current crisis, the Federal Reserve plays a pivotal role in managing the long term health of our economy by enacting policies to promote stable inflation, maximize employment and moderate long-term interest rates. Great Steve lets all kick this around. And ,some can post a separate blog(s) of what we can come up with.
As for me, my interest is to get the attention of Mark Lloyd trying to hurry him up in defining actual Discrimination over our public air waves ,so he can start handing out those $150 million a day fines that his division has been put into place to do. Or, just plain old starting to enforce their own rules/laws related to how they give out these liscenes. for example,
Even though their rules(or the last FCC)only sent me forms letters also my brother-smile- saying to call, write the networks and their programs when we saw any thing that was false, demeaning, etc, holding them responsible to research it and get back to the person who complained. Then nothing!!!!!
Fox is trying to get rid of Lloyd so bad until I believe he is on the job. I believe we need to keep him in the loop of what we see as an out and out lie, deliberate attemps to manipulate (not allowing their Democrat guest to say a whole sentence/ get their points across,etc.)the news by turning it into personal opinions and political leanings of the anchors as actual/real/honest news.
I believe the FOX is the one to concentrate on because of their mission statement of Fair and Balance news!!! I do know that Comcast cable pulled their ad from Glenn Beck after it was up for only one day and being bombarded over this from their actual coustmers!!!
So the cable providers can be a direct target to get help from. Right now some cable companies are facing financial problems of their own and the last thing they need is to be called before congress along with the Fox news networks.
Fox has already a record because they have just last year forced to go before congress for their behavior, and language.And, Sharpton is in New York at their head quarters still.And Fox's owner rupert Murdock gets sued from here in America to England on a regular basis. so far he has lost ever law suit over language used in his papers and his own mouth!!!!
And, what is your goal to help change in our government, congress, or what ever even if it is not political, we need to join to help make what is wrong in our country made rightfor and by the people...(smile)

Please go to FOX newa and pull up tahe Gleen Beck program for tonight. thanks to us in the Black community we truned against rev. J. Wright when he was called anti-American. gleen Beck has now taken this to start a new campaing to get our Black persident to resign as he did his church or there is going to be a civil war in this country.
Juat as sure as the KKk hates the Black Panthers and most American Blacks hate Wright and Farrakhkan and for only one reason they keep trying to teach us our own history and to keep our ties to the Mother land!!!
gleen Back's program tonight just tied our president and all of his friends and even their grand parents in as Communist which is only going to add to we are backing a prresident that is trying to take over America and to prove it look at the people his has been aroung all of his life...It was too much for me to take, but I will stay up all night until tis comes on again as I d not have high speed to get it off my computer....
I repeat in all seriousness our president is under more pressurae for these right-wingers than he can be able to stand up at this rate. they have already picked off Van Jones and Wribht and the NOI long ago...
Jus go watch what gleen Beck did and those with the KKK, skin head and aryan nation are just getting started with these kinds of pep talks while we just sit around and not even be concerned that not on Black so called leader has done not one thing!!!!!!

I am still kind of upset having seen a post on this site saying our president "DANCED AROUND THE QUESTION ON RACISM ON TALK SHOWS TODAY"
1. Our president grew up in a family where many of his White blood kin could not accept him because he has the color of his father and not his mother, yet he can not be able to know there is racism in America.....ONLY IN AMERICA...
2. This is on the same level as he is not going to insist a public option be put in his health care reform bill, because I am sure that he believes if we had , had this his own mother would still be alive!!!!!

Now my sister, here is the other side of this American story. We do and we should add the word American when we identify along the skin color identy, because we are Americans, be it natural or by being legally defined as such.
This fits in with brother Steve's question about will we ever have peace.The way "I" am seeing this country right now is areturning of it's historical division of skin color vs legal and moral and religious morality. Oh, and let us not leave out political leanings. Democrats tend to include dark skin prople and the poor. Republicians with White skin and rich people.
Look at it this way. the Bush administration gave tax credits to the rich. Out sourced those jobs which if they had remained in America they would have had to rebuild their factory, work place to fit into not polluting as they were or be shut down. (or did you see any streeet rallies over loss of millions of jobs or even the harm to our children from those toys made in China and I did't???!!?)If you saw China after they had closed those factories down and one still could not see beyond the filthy air then you know what I am talking about. The politicians in Washington that have the public option already in their medical care, while they are dead set against the average citizen having is actually ILLEGAL...this is called DISCRIMINATION.
I will farther explain what I mean by this. When you single out a specific people to not have the same "civil rights" as you then you are discriminating against them!!!!!!!! So, what do we do about this ?!? We over look what is actually going on and go for every thing posssible but the subject at hand which is JIM CROW!!!!!!!!or, "Separate is Equal".
Actually, I really admire Rush Limbaugh and even Glenn Beck their success as WE just keep going on ignoring what is in the real world and guess what(I never go against a persons using their instict to do what is best from them)...just sit back and point the finger at everyone but one's own self for allowing this to succeed!!!that is if they are against things like this...I AM AGAINST JIM CROW...I do something about it at least 5 hours each day from now on until this bill passes!!!!LOL
Sister Siebra, as long as we can sit and blame and point fingers, feel sorry and do every thing in our power but going out to take part in correcting what ail's America then we are going to end up right back where we started...Hating our next door neighbor, co-worker, class mates, churches(like Trinnity)because it is just what the other side wants.
THey make the weaons for which we are about to start killing each other with. They run the media whose ratings will go through the roof. And, I don't have to tell you because Rush Limbaugh has already said it. What does one expect from an O-B-A-M-A NATION.....

THANK YOU SISTER. Media Matter.com just sent me information about how they have started a campaign to Stop Lou Dobbs supporting hate groups by warning CNN that Dobbs has become a libality to there credibility as a news medium. They also sent me information and the programs tapes of dobb's to watch that shows it is working. But, Dobbs is now doing things and putting a disclaimer the CNN has no part in what he is saying/doing. Gleen Beck Does that same thing, now. I am sure that FOX does not like the $600.000 a week that Beck is costing to allow him to do this.LOL(Thank you Color Of Change-our local Black community activist...I love you all.)
Move On. com is sending out petitions that are doing what our president says he will do...."I YOU LIE YOU WILL BE CALLED OUT" So far Move On.com found governor Tim P.at the top of the Whitehouse list to be called out.(I will get the correct spelling of the governor's name later)
We can continue to sit back saying, I don't count so why should I vote and besatisfied with this among other countless excuses....or we can...GET FIRED UP, as our presidnet says, and hit that YES I CAN button.
THE INDIVIDUAL...after all our president is one of these....INDIVIDUALS.(smile)

Brother Steve as an answer from "ME" at least about if there will ever be peace...my answer is so simple no one must likely believe me...
I wholely believe as long as mankind trys to socialize, lable and avoid truth/science there can never be peace in the way I believe you mean. This is because, it is my belief that mankind avoids these two things...
1. The fear of the unknow of after one dies, thus we have religions. And, we never pay any attention that what all religions have in common is dealing with life after this one!!!
2. The first law of nature is to survive.The surviival of ones family, race,culture...both man and animals and plants,fish, birds ,ect does...THE SURVIVAL OF THEIR SPECIES...only man kills for sport, anger, dislike, fear, or you name it. One has to be CIVILIZED TO LEARN HOW TO NOT BE CIVIL...

This woman is doing her veery best and getting as colse as she can to coming ojt a spelling out why the Joe Wilsons are trying so hard to not get health care fro all in southCarolina. bad healt care is actually being used as a genocide for black people. Yesterday she reported that they have to most pregnant teens and the most infant deats of any state due to health care(lack of) today she went so far as to show how the only person in that state trying to help is James Clyburn...WAKE UP...go watch whar this woman is trying to get through to you...it is called the real world!!!!!

Seeve, again I will say being African-American is an EXPERIENCE.for example if our president had taken the skin color of his mother do you believe we would be having this conversation?!? If it had not been for the Black Panthers then I would not have a degree in black history tath teaches us from books actkually wirtten by those slaves that they are still teaching us could not raad or write..and besides it does not take a news report or a crowd of people to work fro equality!!!! And, why as I post my series ONLY IN AMERICA is to stree how we have got to relearn all of those things taught us from the European point of view!!!
this is all about me trying to draw attention to what is going on now is just the opposit of the 60s or how many guns did you see near our president in the eight years of Bush1 why did that young lady just get out on parole after 40 years in prison for just having a gun near a president?!? It is j ust common sense and a peace movement in the last century is going to get as a fesult an armed viiolent movement in this century!!!!
My goal is never to ban any form of education, but what I (we) see on for is not protected by the first amendment. FOX has been before Congress before this for this same behavior and manipulation of the news. When in the Hell do you think the FCC now has a specail department to look into this. this is why you hear constantly on FOX the name Mark Lloyd...and as far as the VETTING nonsense,FOX just hired Don Imus and Tucker Carlson both who were not too long ago been fired by MSNBC for racism!!!!!NOw what were on on ACORN's VETTING and our president's VETTING?!? the only thing is is that we have too many Black people still believeing that there is no racism because we now have a Black president. I saw Hannity with his program about this state holding back warter to farmers. but, why no words about the efforts to get these same farmers to not sell their warter to Mexico??!!Not one word about those feild workers dying out in those fields because these same farmers will not allow them a warted break...NO I AM NOT THE OEN TO COME TO WITH THIS ...been ther done that...

Thank you brother Steve and I would like to apoligize to this site for trying to get them to experience the horrors of living in KKk ruled country I actuall fee guilty as an active member of the 60s movement that hs only run them under grown.
Even worst is that they are right out in the open 24/7 and as our two Rep. Now steve as you live in Cal as do I you should be the LAst person to say that country is intergrated. We just got the first Black mayor. And, getting his was mostly because of the economy and our mayor before had not had anyone running against her!!!
If we are intergated in any wah then what does the name Broad way in Sccrimento mean, Davis, Ca.(sill having the police breaking up black students gathering in a grouP? WHAT DO YOU CALL the city of OAK PARK, intergrated or segragated?Why is Oakland, Black???!!?Oh, Oakland, Ca. did have a White mayor until he became our state's Attorney General and a former Governor in the Democrat majority state that has not Black senator in D.C???? What about all of the Black ONLY, White Only churches??!!!I speak now of where I live about 35 miles north of Sacramento!

Steve, once again I am trying to get one point across to one and all...
1. Racism. race baiting, prejucice, Conservative reportings/their subjects, I have no personal interest in. It is the fast almost oven night return to JIM CROW that has me worried! As a person of color I face racism each and every day(!!!!) as I have said before. I face racism,race baiting every time I turn on my: TV, look at the supreme court, weekly TV series. the Senate, the Whitehouse, my own people looking at the Clntons in only Black churches and there to prove that Mr. Obama's attending an intergrated church as being less than because his church teaches the same things that is being taught in our African-American study departments all over this country. to me it is worst than race bating, racism as it is the perfect thing to keep my people ignorant of what is really going on. The whole of the 60s was about these VERY things!!!!
Over looking Palin's all white rallies along with Bill Clinton's rally for his wife in those White Only towns in the south that are still upset over intergration!!!!And yet we over look when our president refused to turn against Rev. Wright. rev. Wright who taught our president that his life of suffering because his own family were unable to accept the color of his skin Our president was taught by him(but then maybe we are waiting to learn about this from a CNN BIA special) that going the drug(and by the way alcohol is an addictive drug!!!) route was not the way. The best way for our president to go was to restore his ties with the mother land was the way to do it!!!! Be proud of who he is as a human being!This is what gets to me , Steve...
2. Now that the Rev. Sharpton and Jackson have been fired for going to Jena, La to bring the attention to those ropes making a come back in the deep south so lets try to put a stop to this right now. Followed by those election ALL WHITE rallies, following Palin's lead of bring those assault rifles as a sign of pride, Rep. Joe Wilson now receiving millions and millions for disrespecting a Black president, rallies in Washington to call fro the exact reverse of what Dr. M.L. King was there to do along with going after ACORN when the only way our government admitted they knew about that drinking in Kabal because this is one of the reasons we are there for was to demean these peoples RELIGIOUS, CULTURE,etc. and eventhough they have know about this(for two years) which can potentially cause an out break of war and they are going after ACORN...not just ACORN but VAn Jones who is getting paid by the same person wo hired, see that those on FOX gets paid!!!rupert Murdock earns money every time one of Jones' book sells. Now what part of Jones' earnings are now going to pay glenn Beck, and Don Imus' salary!!!!!!
These are only a few of the things that has me ashamed to be a member of my race, right now.
And, here you are my brother Steve as one more White person speaking out about this abuse of our race...A WHITE PERSON, remember what i say in my blog about White person speaking for us????!!!
Now, Steve, I am I guess more angry and ashamed as the cause of my depression.(smile) I have spent a life time fighting this fight to give in now. My grand children in high school, college and kindergarden are counting on me to do every thing in my power to continue to fight against JIM CROW becoming the law of the land in America again!!!!!
