ONLY IN AMERICA...do any of us on this site know about the law in Ugana that is going to be made (338 hits)

to put anyone who is a Homos*xual put to death if some members of our Congress can not turn them from being homs*xuals?!?. Oh personally I believe that "Thou shall not kill" is valid eventhough "I' am a N.D. Buddhist...but this is besides the point..it is a shame and a disgrace that the Christian-Family value Conservative political base should now be sending our American Senators financed by a private religious White only members who live in a church(?) called C Street and abide by their Evangelist
interpretation of their Bible in Uganda that if they can not make you not homos*xual then you must be put to death in Uganda...

I do admit that I am biased to watching Rachael Maddow and keith Olbermann each day on MSNBC...and, I do so because here you will see the latest about our government while the other programs are busy manipulating and changing the actual and true news...

and example, the day after Racheal had reported the news about that man in Irland being told by the country that had put those highly explosives in his luggage that this innocent man was a terrorist and had him arrested as such..the country came our an reported they had done this a full day later after Racheal's reporting this disgraceful act...

Rachael has been investigating C Street every since the governor of South Carolina got caught and got away with spending taxpayer's money on his mistress and that senator got sued by his mistress and her husband for doing the same thing. Rachael found out they were tied to and being protected by the Conservative party because of C Street or the Family or this religion that praises Hitler...pick your choice...she is naming names and will soon be putting up a web site for the public to get a better look at what our Congress is doing in our name and with our votes...I do hope that some of you are interested in our Congress beyond the needs to bring our president down...

I did read about Uganda and their law against homos*xuals, but not only does it punish homos*xuals, but anyone who knows of their s*xuality and doesn't report it. Interesting indeed...

You failed to mention their reasons for putting homos*xuals to death. I would think that homos*xuals wouldn't want to live in a place where laws restrict their freedoms.
I read years ago that in some countries of Africa they will not deliver mutiple births because they believe that they were bad omens and possessed by evil spirits.

Sister Helen I don't think Uganda's reason matters (it's barbaric) for putting their own citizens to death, but here is some of the article I found:

..."Uganda called The Anti-Homos*xuality Bill 2009 that, if passed, would condemn gay men, particularly those who are HIV positive, to death. Many fear the bill will prompt a witch-hunt against the gay Ugandan community that could ultimately develop into genocide.

Many of the underpinnings of the law seem rooted in attempts to further control HIV and AIDS infections. But while Africa has one of the highest rates of HIV/AIDS infection in the world, with about two-thirds of the world�s total coming from the Sub-Sahara, Uganda, in Africa�s Eastern region, has a much lower rate, at about five or six percent. Regardless of this, the new proposed law, in addition to condemning �repeat offenders of homos*xual acts� to death, would also demand the executions of gay men found to be HIV positive, particularly gay inmates already serving time for their homos*xuality.

Even heteros*xuals would be at risk under this law: anyone with knowledge of homos*xual acts, even if they were not directly involved in them, would be sentenced to imprisonment for failing to report gay activity to the police within twenty-four hours..."

Yes lov, America has gone from the salem witch hunt, to Uganda with the hunt for the Jews in Germany between...

but it seem that this came directly from our good old America. As it is our votes that got members from our own government as directly responsible for this why are we so unwilling to even discuss this at all is my problem with this...

In a way it is too bad tis began during the last administration so our president can not be blamed. Oops, this is a Christian nation that theach this also...

IT IS A SHAME THAT THIS COULD BE A JOKE IF NOT SO SERIOUS...OUR GOVERNMENT SHOULD CREATE A NEW DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE AND CALL IT WITCH HUNT...THIS WILL MAYBE PROVIDE NEEDED ADDITIONAL MONIES TO FUND THESE JET FIGHTERS AND THE SEARCHES OF ABANDONED CARS BECAUSE I DOUBT IF STEALING CARS WILL END ANY THIME SOON WHERE THE THIEVES STEAL CAR AND THEN LEAVE THEM....wake up Americans...WAKE UP...

I will repeat, if these WHITE politicians can not use their OWN brand of religion to cure one from being homos*xuals / for being WHO they are naturally, they must be put to death!!!!!

Please make an effort to read all of what is in a blog before putting one's special spin on the truth.(smile)

#NOTE

the president of the United states has had his freedoms of religion taken away from him by the court of public opinion...where would some homexuals be able to go to church and not be condemned...but there is no limits or restrictions in A well established religion to split if a gay or a straight female become one of the highest ranking people in that religionor even a preacher.(smile)
