Well, sister of being so ashamed, why not try reading 300 years of The Willie Lynch Story.
How can you be ashamed of the black man and black woman's genes you are carrying
around in your body? Half truths are a dangerous thing.
Some may love our country and our president, however, when people are in pain or crisis, they
fight or flight. I would like to see more people study history without the capitalism
slant, in which the theory is , divide and conquer, black is bad and white is good.

ok... that didn't sit well.... Cynthia... allow me to interject here a little.... I don't believe Irma is ashamed of being black. From what i've learned about her.. she not only taught African Studies... She's lived through the ERA of Black Struggles. She participated in the protests, demonstrations, sit-ins.....
I myself have much racial pride and I too do not like the word "black" and all that it represents is bad...
I think what get's to me the most is the facts regarding the destruction of the black family... the loss of our oral black history - and the lack of our history in the educational system. The sense of despair and unjustices our youth become victims of. Then to see the brutal past of our ancestors and others "like us" to get us to a place... where we can go to almost any school of our choice.... live almost where ever we like.. without the restrictions.. the codes....
Yet still we take things for granted.... even in the Oscar case.... How many Oscars are going to be victims before "we as a people" start getting more involved, with our children, our communities, and re-invent the era of the times gone by??....

When NUP is in to play.... You cover so much territory.... it's hard for me to follow.... Now during the time of King and Malcolm, the media in fact placed a division between the viewers against King and Brother X... fact was totally the opposite. They both had nothing but respect for each other and their causes.
Some of King's greatest influences were older radical leaders... YES... But King chose a different path.... his was Non-Violence.... But at the end of the day... He respected Brother Malcolm's stance.... They both had the same agenda, just different ways on how they chose to bring CHANGE.... Awareness....
China owns the US.... I agree.... China ... Germany.... Japan... Taiwan... are just a few of our largest trade buddies.... the US has outsourced so many jobs.... Hell... our ZOO's have to rent out Panda Bears from China...

Hey Im checking out the New Black Panther Party.... you know what.... It's not such a radical group.... The old Black Panthers were considered RADICAL, RACIALLY MOTIVATED, CONFRONTATIONAL.... But that was because during that time... anti black were not prepared for such a movement.... The same with NOI... the White Privilege never looked at black folks as deseving anything because for hundreds of years our ancestors were treated like, stupid...black...negros... whom were lazy... unmotivated... violent and yes destructive... The Black Power.... Im Black and Im Proud Movement came out like an explosion.Today the Privilaged Whites with our Black President; are more intimidated, fearful and rampant.... BECAUSE... Slaves Built the White House and now they are outraged because a black man and his family stay in it....
the media does what it does to get a reaction!!!
WE as a people of color only solution is to get involved and get us out of this shadow of negativity.... That's why I work so hard.... My Supervisor told me I wasn't going to be able to do it......

Yes this is the second batch of drugs China has shipped over to the US that which is harmful....
Hey if they contaminate the dog food.... (yep they are the major producer of pet food) what would they not do to humans? I say this to mean... Safety Precautions... Safety Standards... Safe Productions is something they need to be responsible for... And FDA needs to adhere to those standards... or hell find another country like Canada to get healthy and safe medications!!

Irma, when I was in the hospital I only saw my regular Dr. once as they went by weekly shifts and so I saw his associate instead. This other Dr. was different in his approach in that while my regular Dr. takes the position that I am going to smoke and drink regardless what he says, his associate was much more forceful and tried to get me to see I had the opportunity being in the hospital to get off those drugs. Well he did try, but somehow he always caught me going out to smoke (yes, dragging my IV along with me).
Now one time he caught me and in the course of the conversation he looked at me knowingly and said "you don't have a woman, do you?" How did he know this?
This is not a woe is me story but an observation, like his, that we need love in our lives. For many in our society this is what's missing, but those with power and influence spread hate instead. So it's up to us to spread the love.

Police Chief Anthony Batts said many of the officers laid off were on the front lines last week, trying to control protesters after former Bay Area Rapid Transit officer Johannes Mehserle was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting of an unarmed black man in 2009.

Hello to All,
I read where someone said that what is in the heart the mouth would speak, am I right.
Irma’s conscience tells her that Black Americans including all you ghettobilly Negro BIA members are some very ignorant people. This is a fact that I have been saying on BIA for the past two years in hopes that we could turn it around right here on BIA by putting aside our emotional differences, dialogue with some rational intelligence, and agree on something. Am I making any sense?

Irma, my second wife has told me, and I believe her, that the government regulates the amount of cocaine available in the population. This because they cannot afford utter chaos if the supply were totally cut off. But (now my thoughts) they will not address the root cause of the crack epidemic. The dealers want the good life just like everyone else. And as I have told before, one of my suppliers was shot to death by the police. Interesting thing about these dealers, they don't do the drug themselves. Now the women are pimped out and some will do whatever you want for a $10 rock. And as you say the rich and famous are clients. So the war on drugs is BS. Excuses, excuses, and more excuses.

Steve... I studied some of this in my Economics class.... The just found that in Afghanistan... it's a large market for cocaine and heroin.... and that this is some of the reasons our military troops have been directed over there.... THE GOVERNMENT IS THE BIGGEST... DRUG LORDS AND PIMPS..... One of the guys in my class is majoring in Criminal Justice... and wants to join the DEA... some of the things I learned nearly blew my mind!!

For under freedom it has limitations as a dome is something capped
Look around there is no end to space
To be free is equal to the line above in this case
I am free are the words written all over my face
How say ye on having freedom or being free
The choice is clear you only have to look to see
To be is to have is divine
Except to have can turn to have not in no matter of time
Do not be mistaken when you have it can very well be taken
Many slaves that received freedom felt they were forsaken
Some tried to go back to their taskmaster
Knowing that hell did not stop their feet from running faster
Why you may sigh on ~ yet what did they have to rely on?
Familiarity brought about complacency that led to contempt
Imagining how having freedom could be followed by thoughts of resentment
You might be thinking that was way back when
There is no difference between today and then
Oh but on the contrary not necessarily
Today if you choose to have freedom instead of being free
Rest assure you will not doubt repeat the former slaves history
Presently there is a cost to be free it is a high price to pay
Paid by plenty of sacrifices most opt to turn away
Could this reaction be due to the large expenditure?
Making it easier to go against ones nature
Before I conclude do not let me elude
To reiterate the power in being free
Is to be and that is everlasting indeed
And to be is forever multiplied by infinity

This decision excludes the Almighty
The decision is at hand for all of humanity
