SORRY..... I HAVE A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT......
Jamal I take offense because it is a lie..... What you are saying about the school system is a lie....IF WE take an interest ... in OUR YOUTH... WE can improve our inner city schools... and if we are involved in our schools.... it makes a difference... I am a product of this so called White Controlled Schools...
((If you want to control a people then control the education of their youth. ))
and ((For every 1 black family that runs to the suburb to the suburban school, there are another 50 that are stuck in the urban city and have to deal with the erosion of public education. ))
I havent given up on OUR YOUTH and I am not abandoning the system.... Because the real failure... ARE all the folks who run and don't reach back (from whence we've come) and help our future children..... I AM A PROUD.... BLACK... SMART AZZ... product of the public school system and so is my son!!!

Irma... I honestly believe that Jamal is intimidated by me... Im smarter than he is... I have a much better personality than he does... and I am a woman who is not inferior, or intimidated by men... I am vocally strong, hightly opinionated and intelligent... I refuse to even make a lying statement about our schools.... THE FACT IS ... out of touch black folks like JAMAL... WHO MOVES TO MIDDLE CLASS SUBURBIA... because first off he doesn't want black folks stilling his things... drives a dayum Hyundai... sends his children to a white school system.... works for the white establishment... whom finances his house, cars, credit cards and taxes... and turns around and talk about the ghettos and inner city communities...
i live in a black community with my black schools and my people.... EVERYDAY my son see's people who looks like him.... in strong governing/administrative positions.... my son is intouch with the haves and the have nots... and when someone looks at my son.... and tells him that he's BLACK!!! He know's how to tell them He's Black and He's Proud...

Hello to All,
The argument is not about Brown versus the Board of Education per se. The question we are trying to resolve on a broader scale is whether White America controls the education of Black American children.
The practical answer is; of course, White America controls the education of Black American children.
We know that before Brown versus the Board of Education it was unlawful for any Whites to teach Black Americans how to read or write. Then it came a time that White Americans okayed that Black Americans could now learn to read and write. Now, is that not controlling the education of Black Americans from way back when?
Therefore, tell me at what point did anything change that Black Americans controls the education of Black American children.
Give me dates and circumstances, please.
Incidentally, if my comments are going to be deleted on this blog I will not make any further comments, okay. I do not want to have any problems
Tell me what any of you think.

I am neither compelling nor asking you to deal with my intelligence. Intelligence attracts intelligence and I am looking for an intelligent response whether White America controls the education of Black Americans.
I laid out my reasoning that there was a time that White America made it unlawful to teach Black Americans how to read and write. So, if you are incapable of understanding the intelligence of what I am saying to give an intelligent response than just do not be bothered. Perhaps, someone else will come along to make an intelligent comment one way or the other.
Now, if you do not have an intelligent respond to give then just do not be bothered. Am I making any sense?
